Chicken à la King

Ingredients

2 Tbsp Butter

2 Tbsp Flour

1 Cup Cream

1 Cup Milk

2 Cups Cooked Diced Chicken

1 Can of Peas and Carrots (Large)

2 Egg Yolks

12 Vol au Vent Shells

Directions

1Heat oven to 250 F, and place the Vol au Vent shells in the oven to warm for about 15 minutes.

2Make a roux of the butter and flour, slowly add milk and then cream.

3Add the chicken and peas and carrots, cook until heated through.

4Salt and pepper to taste.

5Just before serving add the egg yolks and stir them in, cook for a minute while stirring
