Beet Wine

Ingredients

4 lbs. Beets

3 lbs. Sugar

1 package Yeast

1 gallon Water

Directions

1For a light wine – peel the beets

2For a dark wine – leave peels on

3Slice beets in half, put in gallon of water and boil it.

4If there is not a gallon of water left – add boiling water to make a gallon.

5Pour juice in pail, add sugar and dissolve then add yeast, cover and let ferment 31 days.

6Stir once or twice a week.

7Pour into bottles.
