Ingredients

1 lb Ground dhal

½ oz Baking powder

1 Tin evaporated milk (small)

3 cups Water

1 lb Ghee or oil for frying

1 lb Granulated sugar

1 Tin condensed milk

Ground cardamon

Ground ginger

Ground cloves

Directions

1Mix dhal with baking powder, evaporated milk and 2 cups water. Leave to rise for 2 hours. Form in small balls and fry in ghee or oil using a mill or grind coarsely. Blend sugar and 1 cup water, bring to boil until it is a thread consistency, spins a thread. Pour in condensed milk and ground spices. Stir briskly until mixture becomes stiff, fold in the ground split peas and \while mixture is still hot form into small balls.
