January 4, 2021 0 Full-screen Banana Rolled Oat Cookies By Legacy Cookbook Cookies, Dessert American January 4, 2021 Ingredients 1 ½ cups Flour 1 cup Sugar ½ tsp Baking soda 1 tsp Salt ¼ tsp Nutmeg ¾ tsp Cinnamon ¾ cup Shortening 1 Egg (well beaten) 1 cup Mashed ripe bananas 1 ¾ cup Rolled oats (not cooked) ½ cup Walnuts (chopped) Directions 1Heat oven to 400 F. 2Sift in a large bowl flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. 3Cut in the shortening. 4Add the egg, bananas, rolled oats and nuts. Beat till well mixed. 5Drop by teaspoon on a non-greased cookie sheet about 1 ½ inches apart. 6Bake about 15 minutes or until the sides are brown. 7Remove from pan immediately and let cool on a rack.
