Date and Nut Loaf

Ingredients

1 cup dates

1 cup boiling water

3/4 cup white sugar

1 3/4 cups flour

1/2 cup nuts (walnut)

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1 tbsp butter

1 tsp baking soda

1 pinch salt

Directions

1Cut dates in small pieces

2In sauce pan add water (hot), dates, butter, sugar

3Cook dates on stove

4In a bowl mix flour, salt, baking soda and salt together

5Mix all dry ingredients and add vanilla and eggs and mix with dates mixture and nuts

6Pour into greased 9x9 baking dish

7Bake @ 350° for 45 minutes
