Pork Chips with Apple

Ingredients

Ingredients for 4 servings

1/2 tsp. sage

1/4 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

4 pork loin rib chops (about 6 oz. each)

1 Tbs. vegetable oil

1 green apple

1 red apple

2 Tbs. light brown sugar

1 Tbs. Margarine

Directions

Prepartion

1mix together sage, salt and pepper. Rub each pork chop with an equal amount of mixture. In large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and cook 8-10 minutes on each side or util meat next to bone is no longer pink when the tip of a sharp knife is inserted between meat and bone.

2Meanwhile, core apples and cut into 14" rings. Cut each ring in half. When chops are cooked, remove from skillet. Cover and keep warm in a 200° oven.

3Drain and discard excess fat from skillet. Add brown sugar and butter to skillet. Cook over medium heat, stir- ring until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. Add apple slices; cook 30 seconds on each side or until lightly browned. Serve with chops.
