Ingredients

Ingredients for 6 servings

1 Tbs. butter or margarine

1 cup chopped onion

1 cup catsup

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

2 Tbs. cider vinegar

2 Tbs. Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey

2 Tbs. light brown sugar

1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp. prepared mustard

1/2 tsp. chili powder

1/4 tsp. pepper

5 lbs. pork spareribs

Directions

Preparation:

1In saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add onion. Cook, stirring, 3 minutes or until soft. Stir in remaining ingredients except ribs; bring to boil. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring often, 20 minutes

2Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375°. Place ribs in single layer in two baking pans. Bake 172 hours or until tender. Drain and discard drippings from pans. Spread half of the barbecue sauce evenly over the ribs. Reduce heat to 350°. Bake ribs 15 minutes. Turn ribs and brush with remaining sauce. Bake 15 minutes.
