Bread & Butter Pickles

Ingredients

1 gallon Small to medium cucumbers (Sliced)

7 to 8 Medium onions (Diced)

½ cup Salt

Syrup:

5 cups Sugar

5 cups Vinegar

1 tsp Mustard seed

1 tsp Celery seed

½ tsp Turmeric

Directions

1Mix cucumbers, onions and salt well and cover with ice cubes. Leave this for 3 hours.

Syrup:

1Heat to a boil, then boil for 15 minutes.

2Drain the cucumbers well.

3Mix the cucumbers with the syrup.

4Pour into bottles
