Coconut Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

2 cups sifted all purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup shortening

2 eggs

½ tsp vanilla

1 ½ cups quick cooking rolled oats

1 cup chopped walnuts

1 cup flaked coconut

Directions

1Sift together flour granulated sugar baking powder soda and salt. Add brown sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Beat well stir in oats walnuts and coconut. Roll dough in small balls. Dip tops in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375f for 12-14 minutes. Makes 5 ½ dozen cookies
