Fast Veggie Burgers

Ingredients

2 large garlic cloves

1/3 of a 12oz. (340 g.) package Tempeh

1 cup each of mashed Tofu and seitan

½ cup each of fast cooking rolled oats and flour

1/3 cup Ketchup

¼ cup sunflower butter or Tahini (optional)

3 tablespoons each Miso + Tamari (or sea salt to taste)

1 ½ teaspoons Thyme

½ teaspoon sage

¼ teaspoon pepper or to taste

Directions

1Mince the garlic in a food processor, pulse tempeh and seitan until grainy and granular. Add rest of the ingredients until fairly smooth but not too much. Shape into patties 3” by 1/3” thick.

2Frying: in oiled skillet 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

3Oven: Spread on parchment paper or lightly oiled baking tray or cookie sheet.

4Bake 350- 375 ~20minutes.

5Barbecue: Patties will not crumble and fall apart on the grill. They can be basted while grilling.
