Granny’s and Aunt Edie’s Raisin Brown Sugar Rolls

Ingredients

2 cups flour

1 tbsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

4 tbsp Shortening

1 cup milk (little more if needed)

1 cup raisins

Cinnamon to taste

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp butter

Directions

Crust

1Melt 2 tbsp butter, cinnamon and 1/2 cup of brown sugar together and put in bottom of pan

Then

1rinse raisins and drain well in bowl

2Sift flour, salt and baking powder together

3Mix in shortening

4Add Milk then raisins

5Knead everything together

6Roll out onto floured surface

7brush pastry with melted butter/brown sugar/cinnamon mixture

8Roll jelly cake style and cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces

9Place cut side down into greased pan

10Bake 400° for 20 minutes - Yummy!
