Kirk’s French Onion Soup

Ingredients

5 cups Yellow Onions sliced

1 or 2 Cloves of garlic

3 tbsp Butter

1 tbsp Oil

½ cup Dry white wine

1 tsp Salt

¼ tsp Sugar

3 tbsp Flour

3 10oz Cans beef bouillon

3 Cans water (30 oz)

1 French loaf

½ lb Swiss and Gruyere Cheese

Directions

1Cook onions and garlic for 15 minutes in butter and oil, add salt and sugar cook for 30 to 40 minutes.

2Add flour, cook 2 to 3 minutes, add beef bouillon, water and wine and cook for another 30 to 40 minutes.

3When ready to serve, top with French bread and grated cheese and grill until cheese melts.
