Ingredients

Meat filling

1 tsp Oil

1 Clove garlic finely chopped

1 tsp Freshly chopped ginger

2 Medium onions chopped

2 tsp Curry powder

½ tsp Salt

1 tbsp Vinegar

½ lb Ground beef or Lamb

½ cup Hot water

1 tsp Garam masala

1 tbsp Freshly chopped coriander

Pastry

2 cups flour

½ tsp salt

4 tbsp vegetable oil plus a little more

4 tbsp water

Directions

Pastry

1Sift the flour & salt into a bowl.

2Add the 4 tbsp oil and rub with your fingers until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

3Slowly add about 4 tbsp water or a title more to make a stiff dough.

Then

1Heat oil in pot, sauté ginger , garlic and half the onion until onion is soft and golden.

2Add curry powder, salt and vinegar and mix well.

3Add minced meat, sauté over high heat until redness is gone.

4Reduce heat, add water, cover and simmer until meat is tender and all liquid is absorbed.

5Near the end of cooking, add coriander, garam masala and remaining onions.

6Cook 3 minutes
